MAKANAN MASA KOLONIAL PADA PERKEBUNAN PALA |

| Seminar bulanan yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 26 Maret 2010 menghadirkan seorang arkeolog dari University of Washington at Seattle, Amy Jordan. Pembicara mengemukakan rencana penelitian untuk disertasinya, berkaitan dengan makanan pada perkebunan pala di Banda. Menurutnya, barangkali ada perbedaan makanan di antara pemukiman-pemukiman di perkebunan pala, karena mereka berasal dari berbagai etnis. Seminar dihadiri oleh mahasiswa arkeologi baik S1 dan S2, staf pengajar Jurusan Arkeologi, juga undangan dari berbagai instansi arkeologi di Yogyakarta dan Jawa Tengah. |

PROGRAM PASCASARJANA MINAT UTAMA MUSEOLOGI |

| Perkuliahan S2 Arkeologi Minat Utama Museologi telah dimulai. Selain mengambil matakuliah wajib Prodi Arkeologi dan wajib fakultas, para mahasiswa telah mendapatkan kuliah-kuliah tentang museologi dari pengajar seperti Pim Westerkamp, Martijn, dan Mirjam Shatanawi. Mereka adalah para kutator dan konservator dari Museum Tropen, Amsterdam. Mata kuliah yang diampu adalah Teori dan Sejarah Komputer, Konservasi Koleksi, serta Prinsip-Prinsip Kuratorial. Dalam penyelenggaraan minat utama Museologi ini, Jurusan Arkeologi bekerjasama dengan Tropen Instituut, Amsterdam, serta Reinwardt Academie, Amsterdam. [sa] |

Prof. Dr. TIMBUL HARYONO, M.Sc. on his 30 years of dedication to the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Issue
On Saturday 12 December 2009, Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada will organize the International Seminar tribute to Prof. Dr. Timbul Haryono, M.Sc. as one of our best professors in our department who has multi-expertises not only in Archaeology but also in arts. For that purposes, therefore, we warmly invite you - experts, friends, colleagues and students of Prof. Dr. Timbul Haryono, M.Sc. - to share your expertises in the seminar.
The central theme of the seminar will be Archaeology, Art and Identity. We know that archaeology and art have significant roles in developing identity of groups, ethnic and nation. We hope that this theme will be elaborated by leading keynote speakers and other speakers in seminar presentations and discussions. The whole incoming papers that suit to the theme will be published and are going to be issued in January 2010. The committee, however, will only select two of the incoming papers to be presented in the seminar with the invited speakers.
Submission
Abstract must be written in English, maximum 300 words (deadline: November 14, 2009). Full paper, preferably in English, must be received by the committee no later than November 30, 2009.

SEMINAR
Venue
The international Seminar will take place at:
Auditorium Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Margono Djojohadikusumo Building, Jln. Nusantara No. 1, Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta.
Registration fee
Early bird : IDR 100.000,00. before November 14, 2009.
Normal : IDR 150.000,00.
Payment should be made via bank transfer to Inajati Adrisijanti rek no. 0038211690 (BNI cab. UGM).
All participants will be provided with: refreshments, buffet lunch and seminar kit (printed abstracts, full papers on CD, certificate and souvenir). Published seminar book not included.

| Pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2009, Jurusan Arkeologi menyelenggarakan diskusi rutin di Gedung Poerbatjaraka, kompleks FIB UGM. Kali ini hadir Alejandro Mirabal Jorge dari Portugal. Ia mengemukakan materi tentang penerapan metode arkeologi dalam pelaksanaan survei dan ekskavasi arkeologi bawah air. |
